Graphic Design Festival Scotland

21st – 22nd October 2015

Graphic Design Festival Scotland (GDFS) is a “international organisation promoting creativity, innovation, collaboration and challenging ways of thinking through a programme of workshops, talks, panel discussions, exhibitions, competitions, music and urban murals” created by two Scottish designers called Beth Wilson and James Gilchrist hosted at the Lighthouse in Glasgow.

Went to a 2-Day Live Brief at the GDFS, we were given a live brief and the brief was to design a product that will be made in the future from something that is happening the now. We also got to chose our own mentor, which I chose STV Creative as I have a high interest in videos and animation and I believed the would be able to help me from this aspect.

My product was an app called “Swipe”. This app helps the app user to make decisions, which are made by other app users. I was fortunate enough to be selected in the top two in my group and earned me the opportunity to have an internship with STV Creative in the summer.
